Join us for an all levels friendly workshop!
The Charleston stroll was a routine created by Sing Lim in the Lindy Hop revival during the late 1990s and uses 1920s inspired solo Charleston moves. It is danced to the iconic song ‘Put a lid on it’ by the Squirrel Nut Zippers.
No need to book, you can just turn up on the night (24th August 2026 at 730pm) and have fun learning this cheeky yet simple routine with us. If you want to let us know you are coming head over to our Facebook!
The venue is easy to get to, just off the A14 (and very close to the guided busway.) There is free parking and places to lock bikes too. We are an easy going bunch, so dress in whatever is comfortable for dancing. As it is a solo routine you don’t need a partner but feel free to bring along a friend if you like! (Just make sure you head towards the building opposite the premier inn and next to the sports ground NOT the community centre, as they are two separate places)
Psst…..There will also be an opportunity for you to become an honorary member of EAST for an upcoming charity event performance in September. We will talk more about this at the end of the workshop, but this is not a condition of coming along to the workshop.
If you have any further questions feel free to email us: info@eastdancers.co.uk
